I am very please to finally be able to share with you my latest fabric collection! Please meet …
The word “Mabon” is an Irish word for the autumn equinox in mid-September. It’s the time of year when day and night are equal. It marks the end of the summer and the transition into the fall and harvest season.
Here in my hometown in Sacramento, it is a glorious time of year! The mornings are cool and crisp, yet the afternoons are warm and sunny. It’s the perfect time of year for picnics, apple-picking-adventures, and late-summer blooms! And something about this time of year just makes my fingers itch to start new knitting projects!
I’ve created a lovely fall color palette, with shades of candy-apple red, pumpkin, plum, coral, and, of course, teal! The collection features a fantastic combination of yummy, modern textural prints, picnic-perfect mosaics, subtle florals and a tiny plaid that just perfect for bindings! It’s perfect for any of your autumn-inspired sewing projects … yet there are none of the designs have anything that is specifically fall, so you can use them all year round!
I’ve created five patterns that I’m over-the-moon about … showcasing all the prints in a variety of layouts that I hope you’ll love as much as I do!
