As I’m sure my pattern testers will tell you … my Pitter Patter quilt has been a long time coming! I drafted the design, itself, a few years ago and but really had a hard time visualizing it coming together with any of the fabric lines I auditioned at the time. After simmering in the back of my mind for awhile, I happened to stumble upon Norwegian Woods – one of Hawthorne Threads digitally printed fabric lines – and I knew that I had found the perfect balance of both large and small scale AND color and grey-scale prints!
I really love the juxtaposition of this design! Large and small scale prints, light and dark, square and circular. And, it finishes at 67″ square – just the perfect size for snuggling up with that special someone that makes your own heart go pitter patter!
This grey and yellow version of the quilt has already been claimed by my youngest son for his bed. It is a little comical to see it dwarfing his little toddler better, but he loves finding all the different leaves, trees, and animals hidden in the prints. I have so many projects on my to do list for 2016 already, but I’m dying to make this one again – I keep finding lines I’d love to use now, but where is the time!!
And, as always, a huge thank you goes out to my fabulous pattern testers. You can check out their gorgeous projects below!
