Mystery Quilt Along Frequently Asked Questions …
What is the Quilt Along Schedule and how does it work?
Each Friday, you’ll receive a “clue” to put together a shape or two. You’ll keep building upon each shape or segment until you’ve assembled an entire quilt. We are working on a brand new, never-been-seen-before pattern, so it’s all very mysterious and exciting!
Click on the link below to be taken to the clue. If the link doesn’t work, that means the clue isn’t available yet.

How much does it cost to participate?
We will be offering this QAL for FREE again this year, as a thank you for our customers … but only during the course of the quilt along. Once the quilt along has finished, you’ll be able to purchase a copy of the traditional pattern.
This project is only free to our customers! … So you can’t share the clues with your guild, you can’t hand them out in your shop, and you can’t post them in your facebook group or on your own website … but you can absolutely refer your interested quilty friends here to our site to download them for themselves!
What size is the finished quilts and where can I find the fabric requirements?
We’re giving you five quilt sizes to choose from:
Lap Size: 56.5” x 56.5”
Throw Size: 62.5” x 62.5” w/ 3” borders
Full Size: 85” x 85”
Queen Size: 91” x 91” w/ 3” borders
King Size: 113.25” x 113.25”
The fabric requirements and a mini color theory lesson are coming soon. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page if you’d like an email when they’re available.
What is the suggested skill level for the project? Does it require any special techniques or notions?
We’d classify this project as Intermediate project … but don’t let that scare you. We’re breaking construction down into small, manageable segments using traditional and stitch-and-flip piecing methods.
Plus, I’ll be here with tips and tricks to help you along the way. This year, we’ll also be sharing a few youtube video tutorials so that you can see assembly in motion, step by step.
This project does not require any specialty techniques or notions. There will be no paper or foundation piecing, no y-seams, and no specialty rulers need. And because someone always asks every year … there are no half-rectangle-triangle units either.
How can I share my projects and see photos from other participants?
We’ll be sharing in two places this year:
In Our Facebook QAL group – click here to join
On Instagram using #LunaMysteryQuilt and #CorasQuilts
I’m on the fence about joining – will you share the finished project with me?
Nope. But just take a look at our previous Mystery Projects if you’d like to get a feel for the kinds of projects we make during our mystery quilt alongs.
