FF Logo

Welcome to the home of the Final Fantasy Quilt Along and Block of the Month club – our pixel quilt along project for 2016!

About the Quilt:

Final Fantasy QAL Quilt with address

Our quilt finishes at a very generous 96″ squares and features ten of our favorite Final Fantasy I characters in fighting formation.  Each character block finishes at 20″ wide by 26″ tall.

As with our other pixel Quilt Alongs, the free character pattern will be posted on our blog around the first of every month.  You can sign up to receive the link by email at the bottom of the page.

Want the Fabric Kits?  Join Our Block of the Month Fabric Club:

Join our block of the month club, and we’ll send you the fabric for a different block each month for the next 10 months.  We offer kits containing fabric only or kits with fabric and fusible backing – more here on that method if you’re on the fence.

Kits are priced as follows and include shipping to US mailing addresses:

  • Monthly Fabric Kits: $16.50
  • Monthly Fabric + Fusible Backing Kits: $21.50
  • Finishing Kit (Sashing, Borders, and Binding – 5 ¼ yards of fabric total): $58.00

Our next QAL group will be starting in February of 2016, so there’s still plenty of time to join us!  The block of the month club has a $6 membership, which will ensure that a kit is reserved for you each month.

Visit our shop to pay your membership fees.

Once the membership fee is paid, new members will receive a paypal invoice for all the blocks needed to catch them up with the latest group.  After that, members will receive a paypal invoice around the 15th of each month for the following month’s blocks.  Links to the block are sent out by emailed newsletter around the first of the month.

CA residents are subject to sales tax.  Membership fees and shipping fees are non-refundable.  Please note that there are additional shipping charges for customers outside of the US.

The Fabric …

We’re using the fusible backing block construction method.  Not only does it drastically speed up construction time, it really helps keep those seam allowances consistent.  You can view our tutorial here.

Each blocks will go through multiple sessions with the iron, so it’s important to choose quilt-shop quality fabric so your blocks won’t shrink, distort, or even burn.  We’re using Moda’s Bella Solids, plus Moda’s Weave in Gray to give our background a bit of texture – you can view our color palette by clicking here.
