Greetings and welcome to the fourth week of our Samhain mini-quilt-along! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be putting together this cute little mini quilt, with a parade of finishes just in time for Halloween.
It’s not too late to join us! You’ll just need a copy of the pattern to follow along.
How satisfying is it to sew for just a few minutes a week … knowing we’ll have a finished project by Halloween!!!
This week’s homework assignment is to complete steps 13-18 in your Samhain pattern. We’re adding two rounds of borders to attach the bat ears, and then the bat bodies to the center moon block. Make sure you remember to add those grey, corner-triangles. We’ll need them in place for next week.
The pattern includes pressing arrows in each assembly diagram. If you’ve been following them, you’ll notice that all of your seams are nesting together quite nicely as you’re adding each bonus round!!
That does it for this week’s assignment! We’ll be back next Friday to finish assembling our grey borders!
Be sure to share your progress pics on Instagram, using #SamhainQAL and #CorasQuilts so we can find you, and connect with other quilters working on CQ projects in our facebook QAL group. See you soon!
