Week 09 Agenda:
- Steps 24-27
- Steps 23-25
Well, after all that careful piecing last week, there’s nothing left to do today, but sew up some little sashing units and then put this beautiful block together!
Some Tips for the week …
- Sew carefully and precisely … and press carefully – it is definitely worth taking the time to pin those seam intersections, so that your colors will line up nicely!
- Listen to your block seams – while I recommend pressing seams open with this project … if your block seams are telling you they want to be pressed differently … listen to them! If you end up having blocks come together with a combination of pressing styles, you’ll be totally fine … and you probably won’t even remember when everything is all said and done. 🙂
- Make sure you’re using that 1/4″ seam! This block should be 19.5″ wide x 19.5″ tall unfinished. If it’s not, go through some of the trouble-shooting steps we’ve outlined so far in our QAL to fix the problem before making the rest of your blocks (for the full-sized project)
Happy sewing and see you next week!
